Background

Qualified OT with over 28 years experience.

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in 1992 and have worked within the NHS, in the private sector and schools. I have worked with adults and children with a wide range of physical disabilities in both acute, rehabilitation and community settings. I have a good grasp of the most effective treatments and rehabilitation process for people with brain and complex musculoskeletal injuries. I was a finalist in the 2013 CMSUK Case Manager of the Year.

If you would like more details regarding my professional employment, my CV is available on request.

Current Work

As well as being an independent case manager, working with adults undergoing litigation and those whose cases have settled, I work as an independent OT with people with brain injury, severe orthopedic injuries, limb loss, and rheumatological conditions.

“I have worked with Claire on numerous cases over the last 10 years including brain injury claims (sometimes combined with complex multiple injuries) and serious upper limb injuries. Claire has completed Immediate Needs Assessments on behalf of clients and set up full support and rehabilitation packages. She has also provided excellent insight into the complex disability issues which arise with brain and upper limb injuries through her specialist assessments and reports. I have always been impressed by Claire’s ability to gain clients’ trust and cooperation even in the most difficult of circumstances. Claire works well with other therapists in a multi-disciplinary team and has achieved excellent results for some of my most seriously injured clients. I will continue to instruct her and would have no hesitation in recommending her for both specialist upper limb assessments and brain injury case management.”
